The beauty and symbolism of Indian traditional silver jewellery

Indian traditional silver jewellery is known for its intricate designs, craftsmanship, and cultural symbolism. It has been an integral part of Indian culture for centuries and continues to be a popular choice among women of all ages. The beauty of Indian traditional silver jewellery lies in its detailed workmanship and design. The jewellery is made by skilled artisans who create intricate patterns and designs using traditional techniques like filigree work, engraving, and embossing. The use of precious and semi-precious gemstones in silver jewellery further enhances its beauty. Symbolism also plays a significant role in Indian traditional silver jewellery. Different types of jewellery are worn for different occasions, and each piece has its own symbolism. For example, a mangalsutra, which is a necklace worn by married women, symbolizes the bond between a husband and wife. A toe ring, worn by married women, is believed to signify the presence of a woman’s husband. The designs of Indian traditional silver jewellery are also influenced by various religious beliefs and traditions. For example, a lotus flower design is often used in jewellery to symbolize purity and enlightenment in Buddhism and Hinduism. The peacock design, which is commonly seen in Indian traditional jewellery, represents beauty, grace, and pride. Indian traditional silver jewellery is not only a beautiful accessory but also a reflection of the wearer’s cultural heritage and traditions. It is a way to keep the culture alive and pass it on to future generations. The craftsmanship and symbolism of this jewellery make it a timeless treasure that can be passed down from generation to generation. THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS.

JSS Jewellers Silver Jewellery Manufacturers We are of the opinion that the finest jewelleries of the world are handmade; one piece at a time. A piece of jewelry shall be considered handmade only when it is made by an artisan from a raw metal with the help of tools operated by hand. As such, it requires years of experience and expertise to carefully create jewelleries from precious metals and stones, which is where we are exceptionally talented and experts at JSS JEWELLERS. If you would like to know our manufacturing process, the same goes as following; Step 1: DesignEvery manufacturing process begins with a design. We work hard and incessantly to conceive unique and one-of-a-kind designs for each and every piece of jewelry we craft. Step 2: Sourcing stones, silver and other materialsOnce you have the design, the next step is to collect the needed materials for the processing of crafting. As such, we are extremely particular in collecting the raw materials from only the best, experienced and most established suppliers. This is one of the major reasons why JSS JEWELLERS is easily one of the most-preferred handmade silver jewelry manufacturers in Jaipur. Step 3: Computer Aided Designing CAD is used to help improve the productivity of the person designing the jewelry and the dimensional accuracy of the design being conceived. In this step, we transfer the design idea into a paper and then onto the computer with the help of a CAD software. Step 4: Rubber MouldOne of the most integral parts of the production process is mould making as it will help create a range of jewelry pieces having the same design. As the design stays embossed inside the mould, it is possible for us to create the replicas of the same as long as we want. There are different types of materials that can be used to create moulds such as silicone, natural rubber and metal. Step 5: Waxing processIt is the process where wax pieces are produced from rubber moulds manufactured out of the silver master. Once it is made, the rubber mould is stationed onto the commercial wax injector machine. In order to create a befitting wax model for the purpose of casting, mould cavity is injected with molten wax at higher levels of pressure. silver jewelry manufacturer Step 6: CastingAs the process is very sensitive and exceptionally delicate, it requires the support of the most dedicated and skilled casters. During this process, the tree wax is immersed into a steel flask which is filled later on with a semi-liquid mixture of diverse chemical powders which will assume solid state in an hour. It will then be inserted into a furnace where the wax will be melted leaving the tree cavity. The next step will see the pouring of the molten metal into the flask. Once the flask is cold, it will be demolished to collect the casting for the jewelry.   Step 7: GrindingThis is the place where the little nub left by the tree is grinded and removed from the jewelry. The one polishing the same will rely on a range of tools to grind the jewelry carefully to give it a unique finish and feel. Step 8: Filing and AssemblyFiling is the process where any kind of excess solder or metal is removed from the jewelry. Tools such as burrs and files are used to remove the casting layer completely off the jewelry being made. Assembly is the process where two or more than two components of the same jewelry have been joined together using laser or solder techniques. Step 9: PolishingThis process is used to provide impeccable finish, elegance and value to the jewelry being made. There are three different stages in this process–tumbling, pre-polishing, and ultra-cleaning. As per the type and size of the jewelry being made, the techniques and tools used for the same will be different. Step 10: Stone settingAs per the needs of the design, stones are set carefully onto the jewelry to make it look all the more stunning and elegant. There are different types of settings that we utilize during the manufacturing process and at times, we also use the combination of two or more setting types. There are diverse types of settings such as flush, pave, pressure, fishtail, invisible, miracle plate, bezel, bead, plate prong, prong and channel. Step 11: PolishingAt this process, the jewelry is subjected to an extensive polishing process and the intention of which is to offer maximum shine to the jewelry being made across its surface area. The person polishing the jewelry makes use of several tools and techniques to ensure the best polishing to the jewelry. Step 12: Rhodium platingOne of the most common methods to offer impeccable reflective capability to the jewelry and protects the same from scratches, friction and abrasion. The rhodium plated jewelry will have better shining and appeal than a non-plated one.
